Qualifications/Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Demonstrate business process knowledge in the areas of enterprise labeling and/or artwork management. Software configuration experience, preferably in a SaaS environment. Ability to work unsupervised in a remote environment.
Can you make good money in customer success?
These roles are a clear career path after 1+ years as a CSM and typically pay in the $120k-$175k range. Or CSMs can move into team leadership roles which are a similar range with a pathway to Director of CS or VP of CS at a startup which often pay in the $150k to $250k range.
Do you need a degree for customer success?
77.5% of customer success managers graduate with a bachelor’s degree, and 12.3% of people in this position earn a master’s degree. While most customer success managers have a college degree, it’s impossible to be successful as a customer success manager with only a high school degree.
